This was a layout example for my introduction to layout for the short Story A Sound of Thunder written by Ray Bradbury. The goal of the project was to create a single magazine spread visualizing the ideas of the story. It’s a time traveling science fiction story about the Butterfly Effect. I was inspired by Chip Kidds use of dinosaur bones instead of the more expected imagery of an actually rendered dinosaur on the cover of Michael Critons Jurassic Park. It’s compromise of a ¾ grid system with friendly type.
